- The fur coat used in the Tallulah Bankhead scene looks suspiciously like the mink in the Fur Coat episode. Funny how she came up with $31K so quickly after all that.
- The “Noel” Lucy refers to while impersonating Tallulah Bankhead is Noel Coward, the British playwright. Not long before this filmed, Bankhead had starred in a successful revival of his play Private Lives. She toured it around the country and then to Broadway. The play made her a fortune, which is not a sentence you get to write very often.
- In real life Lucy loved impersonating Bankhead, and eventually had her on as a guest star of the Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour. Here’s a preview of that episode:
