This Week’s WTFacts:

• When Lucy goes to wake up Ricky, right when she says “Time to wake up dear,” you can see a man’s arm in the right side of the screen and it’s super creepy, like they’re both about to be bludgeoned to death.

• Lucy and Desi share a long kiss on the bed, which made it past the censors for the original air date and was added back to the DVD. But reruns cut the kiss by 7 seconds. Please, it didn’t even have tongue. 

• Now we know arroz con pollo is Ricky’s favorite meal. It was also Desi’s. In later episodes he will claim otherwise, confirming Ricky never tells the truth.

• Technically, I’m pretty sure Ricky never actually says, “Lucy, you got some ‘splainin to do!” They make fun of the word “‘splain” in this episode and others, and he comes close to saying it later in the series, but the famous line isn’t actually a line from the show. Happy to correct this if I learn otherwise, and I’ll make sure to provide a ‘splanation.”
