This Week’s WTFacts:

This week’s facts come from some trusty readers! Thanks for all the info, guys.

  • First, some info about Nancy, our favorite lady harpist. A reader gave me her full name – Nancy McDonald – and I was able to trace some info about her, including that she was very active in establishing a Louisiana harp scene during her career. There’s more info out there, I’m sure, but all I can find is hidden in the archives of an old harpist forum. If anyone knows of other leads, let me know. I will track this down like the New York Times, if the New York Times had literally no other stories and was only getting read by harpists. Thanks, Joe, and anyone else who can aid in the sleuthing.
  • Pie_Clip_ArtAlso, a reader submitted his information on pies-in-the-face. Bear in mind, even he admitted it’s obsessive. And it is. This is some pie in the face fetishism. But it comes with some good instructions (when in doubt, always use crust) and a recipe. Thanks, Kelly, for the most info I could ever, ever, ever ask for on this topic.
  • Lastly, this week’s episode stars Hayden Rorke in his TV debut. Classic TV fans may recognize him as the future Dr. Alfred Bellows in I Dream of Jeannie. I barely remember him. I watched that show on Nick at Night when I was 7, but I just remember unreasonable body expectations and some sad stereotypes about blonde women.

See you Friday!
